Doug Long has been in the Agricultural Machinery business for over 25 years with Massey Ferguson, Ford, New Holland, Deutz Allis, Hesston, and John Deere dealers. Prior to that, he had grown up on the family dairy and grain farm, developing, at a very early age, an overwheming desire to operate and repair the farm's nine IH, Massey Ferguson, and Ford farm tractors of 1940's, 50's, 60's, and 70's vintage. This love of farm machinery led him to pursue an Associates Degree in Agricultural Engineering at SUNY Morrisville, earning his degree in 1985. Beginning his career at the local Massey Ferguson dealership as a mechanic while attending college, he eventually rose to the rank of Parts Manager at the Ford tractor dealership a few towns over in 1987, and has been selling farm tractor and implement parts and repairing farm equipment ever since.
While he enjoyed working with the newer machinery, his special love was the older machines, like the ones he grew up with. Doug always took special pride and enjoyment in working with his customers that still used, collected, or restored those wonderful machines, and he enjoyed the sometimes very involved and time consuming searches to find them the parts they needed. He also became a restorer and collector himself, aquiring and bringing back to life several John Deere, Oliver, Allis Chalmers, Ferguson, Farmall, and Massey Harris tractors, as well as an International 80 combine, an Allis Chalmers 66 "Big Bin" combine, and a John Deere 32 hay conditioner.
Now he is able to devote all his efforts toward providing you with what you need for your vintage fleet!
